REM-Fit is a popular maker that has seen great success in selling value-for-money mattresses. They recently decided to create a more premium range and in this REM-Fit 400 Elite mattress review, I discuss this promising new option.
As expected, this is another boxed mattress and it’s designed to suit every type of sleeper. What you get essentially is an upgraded version of the REM-Fit 400 mattress so is it worth the extra money? We will find out soon in the full review below.
What are the layers in this mattress?
Inside this mattress, you will find 4 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- A RemCell foam layer that has the ability to regulate heat. It also has excellent pressure-relieving properties.
- A memory foam layer that can contour your body and help you sleep more comfortably.
- A double layer made of premium pocket springs that measure 15.5cm in height. These can provide your body with the needed support.
- A high-density foam layer that is the base of this mattress.
The REM-Fit 400 Elite measures 22cm in height and the picture below gives us a better look at its architecture.
Is this a nice cover?
This mattress is designed to sleep cool and for this reason, it comes with a breathable cover. It’s made of Re-Ax fibres which is a type of fabric that is developed by their engineering team. This blend has excellent thermo-regulating properties so it’s ideal for every season.
It feels soft to the touch and it features a modern design that has a sporty feel. The good news is that this is a removable cover and you can pop it inside your washing machine. This is very practical and it just makes our lives way easier. The bad news is that this mattress has no side handles so it’s not very easy to move it. This is the only drawback here but overall, I would say that this is a fantastic cover.
How firm is this mattress?
I am ready to continue writing this REM-Fit 400 Elite mattress review and discuss its feel. This is a mattress designed for comfort so it comes with a medium-firm feel. If I use my virtual scale, I would say it’s a 6 with 10 being really firm. I want to talk now about my experience with it during the past week.
Lying on my back, the mattress did a great job distributing my weight evenly. It was comfortable sleeping this way and my body was well supported.
Turning to my side, the mattress adjusted quickly and I didn’t feel any discomfort in the hip area. My spinal alignment was neutral and support remained adequate.
Finally, turning to the stomach position, I felt that this mattress handled my weight and my hips and shoulders were well-supported. Despite not being a firm mattress, it performed well in this position so I can confidently say that it’s a true all-rounder.
If you wonder about the edge support, this mattress features a foam encasement so you should expect a strong one. Additionally, the springs inside this mattress are designed to minimise motion transfer so this mattress would suit couples.
Will I pay for delivery?
The short answer is no. When you buy a mattress from them, you will receive it within 1-3 working days. That of course depends on your postcode and in my case, it was only 2 days (based in London). The great news is that they offer a 2-man delivery service that will deliver your mattress to the room of your choice. This is great as it will save you time and effort.
The day prior to my delivery, I got a text with my precise 3-hour slot. That allowed me to schedule my day according to that. On the day of the delivery, the couriers sent me a text 30 minutes prior to arrival and the whole process was smooth. They were very helpful and overall, I was happy with the service I got.
Can I try this at home?
If you decide to buy a mattress from REM-Fit you will get a 200-night trial period that gives you more than 6 months to try this at home. This is one of the longest trials out there and it shows how much they value their customers. If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it and get a full refund. The process is not a complicated one and you don’t have to keep the original packaging to be able to complete a return.
Furthermore, all REM-Fit mattresses come with a 15-year guarantee that will cover you for a really long time. Before you buy it, make sure you read the full terms and conditions so you know all the details about it. Overall, this is a fantastic support package that has really impressed me.
How much will it cost me?
One of the great things that REM-Fit does is release its mattresses in a variety of sizes. For example, this one is available in 10 sizes so you will definitely find the one that suits your needs. The smaller size (Small Single) sells for £979 with the bigger one (Super King) going for £1,449. However, REM-Fit is a maker that runs promotions all the time so you will probably pay half of the retail price. That makes this mattress a great deal and a value-for-money option.

Should I consider the REM-Fit 400 Elite mattress?
This is the question I need to answer before I complete this REM-Fit 400 Elite mattress review. In my view, this is a great option for anyone looking for:
- A hybrid mattress that is suited to every sleeping position.
- A cooling mattress that is quite comfortable.
- A mattress that comes with a 200-night trial period.
REM-Fit managed to improve an already good mattress and in my opinion, it’s worth the extra money. It’s designed for all sleeping positions and it comes with an efficient cooling mechanism. Add a great support package and you have a value-for-money option that won’t disappoint.
