Depending on your needs, a mattress protector is always something you may consider buying. I was hesitant too but after getting one, I realised how useful it can be. In this Emma mattress protector review, I will talk about their Smartsleeve and whether it’s something you should consider.
During the weekends, I sometimes like to have breakfast in bed and the other day I spilt coffee which left a big stain on my Emma mattress. It was then I decided to get a mattress protector. Mine arrived about two weeks ago so it’s about time I write this review.
Materials
The Emma mattress protector is made of 100% polyester with applied Purotex technology. This makes it 100% probiotic which means that there are microorganisms found in the material. Their purpose is to prevent dampness in the mattress and decrease the likelihood of developing allergies. This is something that is not common and Emma did an excellent job here. The special fibres used to make the SmartSleeve show 89.3% fewer dust mite allergens than conventional mattress protectors. This makes it ideal for people who suffer from allergies.
The mattress protector is also waterproof and designed to allow airflow. This is very important as it won’t affect the breathability of your mattress. You also don’t need to worry about any spillage so go ahead and have breakfast in bed. The Emma protector feels soft and in general, it feels of great quality. Overall, I think you won’t find a better-made protector than this one.
Trial Period & Delivery
The Emma Smarsleeve comes with a 14-night trial period which allows you to test the mattress protector first and decide later whether you want to keep it or not. If you are not happy with it, you can return it and get a full refund. All you have to do is contact their customer service department and they will give you instructions about the process. Returns are free.
You will also get free delivery for all sizes. All Emma products are delivered in the UK by DPD or Parcelforce. Mine was delivered by DPD and the courier was polite and arrived on time. Overall, they offer great service here so no complaints at all.
Pricing
The Emma protector is available in 5 sizes so you will definitely find one that fits your mattress. In terms of the price, I would say this is not a cheap one. However, if you consider the built quality and the features, I would say this is a fair price. Depending on the size you will get, the Emma mattress protector will cost you anything between £74 and £114. The table below has pricing information for all sizes.

Small Double | 120 x 190 cm | £84 |
Double | 135 x 190 cm | £94 |

Is the Emma protector for me?
It’s time now to finish this Emma mattress protector review and I would like to share my final thoughts with you. I was personally impressed by the technology this Smartsleeve has and how well it’s built. I think that it’s a great addition to any mattress. In my opinion, people who suffer from allergies or have families with kids should probably consider getting one. It’s not the cheapest in the market but it’s worth every penny and I do think it’s one of the best mattress protectors out there.
